Firefighters put out fire at Edmonton home twice within 12 hours

Edmonton firefighters were called to battle a blaze at a home twice within the span of 12 hours.

Edmonton Fire Rescue Services were called to the single-family home on 154 Avenue and 62 Street on Tuesday night around 9:20 p.m.

They arrived to find a fire at the rear exterior of the home. It was brought under control at 10:09 p.m. and officially declared out at 10:51 p.m.

There were no reported injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Barely 12 hours later, EFRS tells CityNews on-site security noticed smoke emerging from the building’s roof at 9:09 a.m.

Fire crews arrived at 9:14 a.m. to a fire in the attic. It was declared out at 10:40 a.m.
