Three people have been charged in connection with a drug investigation in Edmonton and Sherwood Park that led to Mounties allegedly seizing large amounts of several drugs from a home in Alberta’s capital last fall.
Strathcona County RCMP say the investigation into an alleged drug trafficker culminated in the Oct. 23, 2025, search of a home in southwest Edmonton and another in Sherwood Park.
Authorities say they seized, from the Edmonton home:
- 1.6 kg of methamphetamine
- 905 grams of cocaine
- 552 grams of MDMA
- 863 grams of ketamine
- Over $20,000 in Canadian cash

Police say they seized a small amount of steroids and meth, as well as $47,000 cash, from the Sherwood Park home.
“Drugs such as these are often linked to overdoses, property crime, violence and the exploitation of vulnerable people,” said RCMP Insp. Kevin Peterson. “By removing them from circulation, we are taking meaningful steps to prevent further harm and improve community safety.”

Edmonton’s Matthew Petrollini, 44, and Tara Trudeau, 50, were charged with possession of proceeds over $5,000 and possession for the purpose of trafficking.
Michael Shaune St. Martin, 42, of Sherwood Park was charged with possession of proceeds over $5,000. Police say he is currently before the courts for possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance.
All were released with conditions and are scheduled to appear in court Jan. 21. The allegations have not been tested in court.
