Car collides with Valley Line LRT in Edmonton’s Mill Woods

Service was interrupted on Edmonton’s Valley Line on Monday afternoon after a car collided with the LRT.

The sedan ended up on the tracks at 36 Avenue and 66 Street in Mill Woods, interrupting LRT service between Mill Woods and Davies.

The Edmonton Police Service says a Honda Civic was going west on 36 Avenue and was attempting to turn north on 66 Street when it collided with the LRT in the intersection.

There were no injuries. Police are investigating.

Valley Line trains were continuing to run between Davies and 102 Street.

A bus replacement service was put in place between Mill Woods and Davies stations.
