Police say a 21-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a collision with an SUV in southeast Edmonton on Wednesday evening.
Authorities believe speed was a factor in the collision.
The Edmonton Police Service says it happened around 8:30 p.m. at 34 Street and 64 Avenue.
Police say a Land Rover Range Rover was travelling south on 34 Street and was attempting to turn east onto 64 Avenue when the motorcyclist, who was also going south on 34 Street, drove into the back of the Range Rover.
The young man died of his injuries at the scene. The 44-year-old woman behind the wheel of the Range Rover was not injured and remained at the scene.
The EPS major collision investigations section is investigating.
