Police say six people are recovering in hospital after a collision between an Edmonton Transit Service bus and a dump truck in the city’s northwest Tuesday morning.
The Edmonton Police Service says the collision happened at 170 Street and Yellowhead Trail around 10:15 a.m.
Police tell CityNews the ETS bus was driving south on 170 Street approaching the Yellowhead Trail overpass when a fully loaded dump truck turned left onto Yellowhead Trail into the bus’ path.
EMS took six people from the bus to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police did not specify if anyone else on the bus or the dump truck driver were injured.
The intersection was closed in the hours after the incident.
