Alberta RCMP say three people have been charged for allegedly stealing telecommunications wiring.
IN the early morning hours of May 4, Mounties from Strathcona County reportedly noticed two men walking near an underground Telus utility infrastructure before finding a third man inside a manhole.
It is believed that damage had been caused to telecommunications wiring, and the officers took all three men into custody.
As a result, 33-year-old Aaron Bye, from Edmonton, 38-year-old Kyle Ferchuk-Schmutz, and 52-year-old Denny Stevens, also from Edmonton, were all charged with theft over $5,000 and mischief over $5,000.
Ferchuk-Schmutz was also charged with two counts of failing to comply with an undertaking, while Stevens was also charged with failing to comply with an undertaking.
All three are expected to appear in court in June.
