Edmonton police say two people have been charged in connection to a homicide in 2012.
EPS say around 7:40 p.m. on March 29, 2012, officers responded to a report of “suspicious circumstances” near 167 Avenue and 113 Street.
When they arrived, officers found Chad Jordan Swanson dead in a black Chevy Tahoe. At the time, officers noted a bullet hole in the windshield.
Officers say a 54-year-old and a 51-year-old have since been charged with first-degree murder.
Investigators say they believe the shooting was targeted, as Swanson knew both suspects.
“Our investigators never gave up hope and worked tirelessly over the last decade to identify the two responsible for the homicide of Mr. Swanson,” says Staff Sargent James Vanderland, EPS Historical Crimes Section in a statement.
Both are scheduled to appear in court on May 17, 2023.
