A pair of hockey linesmen from Alberta – who happen to be twin brothers – made their NHL debuts on Friday.
Linesmen Chad Huseby and Cody Huseby from Red Deer, Alta., usually work games in the American Hockey League and Western Hockey League.
But the Huseby brothers made it to the big leagues when they worked the lines in Edmonton, as the Oilers hosted the Vancouver Canucks.
Their first appearance in the NHL was thanks to the storm gripping several parts of Canada.
The originally scheduled linesmen – Travis Gawryletz and Caleb Apperson – could not make it to the game because of the weather, according to Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman.
The Oilers lost the game 5-2.
