Edmonton Oilers sign forward Connor Brown, who reunites with OHL teammate McDavid

Forward Connor Brown has agreed to a one-year deal with the Edmonton Oilers, Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman reported Saturday.

Sportsnet’s Jeff Marek is reporting the deal is worth $775,000 AAV, plus $3.25 million in bonuses.

The move will reunite Brown with junior linemate Connor McDavid as the two starred together for the OHL’s Erie Otters.

The Toronto-born winger played just four games with the Washington Capitals last season before undergoing ACL surgery.

Brown, 29, has 90 goals and 216 points in 448 career games with the Toronto Maple Leafs, Ottawa Senators and Capitals.

The Leafs selected Brown in the sixth round (156th overall) of the 2012 NHL Draft.
