RCMP seek help in hit-and-run of motorcycle on Alberta’s Highway 2A

Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a car allegedly involved in a hit-and-run of a motorcycle Tuesday evening.

Wetaskiwin RCMP say they responded to a collision involving a motorcycle travelling north on Highway 2A, south of Millet, around 6 p.m.

According to RCMP, an SUV struck the bike attempting to overtake a semi-truck and fled the scene.

The biker lost control and rolled over into the ditch. He was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The car is described as a white SUV — possibly a Ford Explorer or Chevy Equinox, with unit #019 marked on it.

Anyone with information about the vehicle or dashcam footage from Tuesday between 5:30-6:30 p.m. is asked to contact Wetaskiwin RCMP at 780-312-7200.
