Man found critically wounded by gunshot near Edmonton’s Walterdale Bridge

A man was critically injured after being shot near Edmonton’s Walterdale Bridge Tuesday night.

Edmonton police (EPS) received 911 call from Queen Elizabeth Park at around 10:35 p.m. reporting a man with injuries.

“With the assistance of Air1, police eventually located a male suffering from a gunshot wound on the riverbank near the south end of the Walterdale Bridge,” EPS said.

Paramedics treated the man and he was taken to hospital with critical injuries.

Police didn’t specify the age or identity of the man.
