A Calgary defence attorney has been charged with several sexual exploitation offences, including child luring, according to the Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams (ALERT).

ALERT says 46-year-old Jordan Bonner was arrested on April 30 by ALERT’s Internet Child Exploitation unit, along with Calgary police.

His home and law office were searched in the investigation.

Bonner allegedly had sexually explicit conversations with several youth online, where he also shared “child exploitation materials” through Snapchat.

Using the online aliases “jrcbonner,” “whydoyoucare197,” and “daddysboi10,” police say he spoke with victims between 11 and 15 years old.

With the offences taking place in December 2025, according to an investigative referral shared by the RCMP, Bonner faces around nine charges for the following:

  • Child luring;
  • Making child sexual abuse materials available to a child;
  • Making child sexual abuse materials;
  • Distributing child sexual abuse materials;
  • Possessing child sexual abuse materials;
  • Accessing child sexual abuse materials;
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm;
  • Possession of a firearm, knowing its possession is unauthorized; and
  • Careless storage of a firearm.

He has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on May 7.

ALERT’s ICE agency wants to speak with potential victims and is encouraging them to contact police at 403-266-1234 or leave a tip anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
