Fire damages single-family home in Southeast Edmonton

A fire damaged a single-family home in Southeast Edmonton early Friday morning.

Edmonton Fire Rescue Services (EFRS) says they received reports of a fire around 4:17 a.m. in a residential building near 42 Avenue and 76 Street.

Upon arriving at the scene, EFRS crews safely evacuated the residents. They brought the fire under control in under an hour and fully put it out at 6:09 a.m.

There were no injuries reported. No damage estimates were available.

An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire.
