Flooding closes section of Yellowhead Trail

A section of Yellowhead Trail needed to be closed Monday afternoon due to flooding.
The westbound Yellowhead was closed from 97 Street to 124 Street, after previously being reduced to one lane.
Yellowhead Trail to 107 Street northbound was maintained, but drivers were forced to exit southbound onto 121 Street.

Commuters were urged to use alternative routes and expect significant delays.
A traffic camera for the intersection of Yellowhead and 97 Street showed significant traffic around 4 p.m.
