Man dies after being found in distress in south Edmonton

Police are looking into a suspicious death that happened Saturday morning in south Edmonton.

EPS says officers responded to the area of 104 Street and 85 Avenue after receiving reports that a man was in medical distress in a backyard around 8:25 a.m.

Paramedics also responded and took an 82-year-old man to hospital, where he died from his injuries.

An autopsy has been scheduled for Tuesday.

EPS is asking if anyone has any information to contact investigators at 780-423-4567 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
