Alberta-wide Amber Alert cancelled after child found: Edmonton police

Edmonton police have cancelled a provincewide Amber Alert for a missing two-year-old, saying the child has been found.

The alert which was issued just before 5 p.m. for all of Alberta, said that at around 4 p.m. on Saturday, an man took a two-year-old child in Edmonton.

Police said the child was taken from around the 106 Street and 31 Avenue area in Edmonton.

The Amber Alert was cancelled around 5:30 p.m. Police say the child has been found.

“Initial information led police to believe that the child may have been in danger,” reads a release from EPS. “Upon further investigation, police believe that the incident is non-criminal.”

No charges pending against the man involved.
