Edmonton firefighters were needed to put out the flames after a crash between a Tesla and the LRT that sent one person to hospital Tuesday afternoon.
Edmonton Fire Rescue Services tells CityNews the Tesla was on fire in the aftermath of the collision near the Whitemud Drive and 66/75 Street overpass.
Edmonton police say the vehicle was travelling north on 66 Street approaching the Whitemud Drive overpass when it turned right on the red light and was struck by the LRT.

EFRS was called to the scene at 12:58 p.m., and the blaze was declared out at 2:07 p.m.
A video posted to social media and shared with CityNews shows flames and a plume of grey smoke billowing into the sky.
