As the Stanley Cup final takes over downtown Edmonton, with the Oilers hoping to avenge last year’s loss against the very same Florida Panthers, police are highlighting a series of game-day road closures to know about.
Cars will temporarily not be allowed on 104 Avenue between 101 Street and 105 Street at the end of all Edmonton Oilers games during the final.
Additionally, 105 Avenue eastbound will be closed from 102 Street to 101 Street.
Police are warning of significant traffic delays during home games.
Edmonton police are also asking everyone to celebrate responsibly, particularly warning against fighting, disorderly conduct and impaired driving.
There will be an increased police and security presence in the downtown area.
