Edmonton Superstore on Kingsway reopening Friday after fire

The Edmonton Superstore on Kingsway is expected to be back up and running Friday, store management tells CityNews, after a fire closed it down.

The Superstore at 114 Avenue and Kingsway has been closed since Monday because of the blaze, which Edmonton police are investigating as suspicious.

Management says the store was closed this week as it needed to be cleaned, and most of the produce needed to be thrown out and restocked.

One person was injured in the fire that brought firefighters to the grocery store shortly before 1 p.m.
