Elderly woman hospitalized after rollover in south Edmonton

Emergency crews were called to a rollover just south of Whitemud on 99 Street and 42 Avenue Wednesday afternoon.
According to Edmonton police, at approximately 3:10 p.m., a Dodge Journey was facing east on 42 Avenue at the stop sign at 99 Street. The Journey proceeded east from the stop sign to cross 99 Street when it was struck on the driver’s side by a southbound Honda Civic.
The force of the collision caused the Dodge to roll over. The lone occupant, an elderly woman, was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Edmonton police say the driver of the Civic was unharmed.
