EPS looking to identify man believed to be linked to 2023 homicide

Edmonton police are turning to the public, looking for assistance identifying a man believed to be linked to a homicide in April 2023.

EPS says around 5:30 a.m. on Apr. 8, officers responded to a report of a man who was critically injured in the lobby of an apartment near 97 Street and 109 Avenue.

When police are paramedics arrived at the scene, they found 35-year-old Gabriel Dumont dead.

An autopsy a couple of days later determined Dumont’s cause of death was a gunshot injury, and that the manner of death was a homicide.

EPS have released images of a man believed to be linked to the shooting, that was captured on a nearby security camera in the area.
