Calgary Mayor Jyoti Gondek and city councillors made good on their Battle of Alberta bet on Tuesday.
Gondek and council members were decked out in orange and blue Oilers jerseys after losing a friendly bet with Edmonton Mayor Amarjeet Sohi.
The Calgary Flames lost to the Edmonton Oilers in the first all-Alberta NHL post-season matchup since 1991.
That meant Gondek showed up to Tuesday’s council meeting wearing an Oilers jersey, and with an Oilers logo painted on her face.
“I’m confident that I will not be donning orange and blue paint at the June 7 Council meeting,” Gondek had said at the time.

Gondek will also make a donation to the Kids with Cancer Society in Edmonton. The donation is in recognition of Oilers superfan Ben Stelter, who is battling brain cancer.
The Oilers won the Battle of Alberta in five games before being swept by the Colorado Avalanche in the Western Conference final.
