A Calgary street minister has been denied bail and will go to trial in three weeks on charges related to the recently dismantled Coutts border blockade.
The charges Artur Pawlowski is facing include interfering with the ongoing daily operations of businesses and mischief over $5,000.
According to Post Media, he was arrested after allegedly inciting violence at the border blockade, while also railing against pandemic health measures.

The judge rejected suggestions by the man’s defense lawyer that being held in custody would result in an “economic impact” on Pawlowski.
Pawlowski is not the only person to be charged in relation to the blockades in Coutts. At least 13 people were arrested for their involvement in the protest at the border protest Monday after police said they became aware of a cache of firearms and ammunition.
On Wednesday, four of the men were charged with conspiring to commit murder RCMP officers. Nine others are facing other charges.
The Coutts border blockade was dismantled as of Tuesday, after more than two weeks of disruptions at the crossing.
