Sinkhole emerges in Leduc apartment building parking lot, swallows two cars

A sinkhole in Leduc nearly swallowed up two vehicles on Thursday.
According to City of Leduc officials, the sinkhole emerged in the MacEwan Greens parking lot.
The City is not aware of any injuries and could not comment on the cause, but confirms two vehicles fell into the hole.
In an email to CityNews, officials said, “As a private development, the infrastructure located under the parking lot was not installed or owned by the City of Leduc. We will continue to monitor the situation as it unfolds.”
