Man wearing pink wig, then clown mask, accused of robbing central Edmonton cannabis store twice

Edmonton police are looking for two suspects, including a man wearing a pink wig and then a clown mask who allegedly robbed the same central Edmonton cannabis store on two occasions last year.

The Edmonton Police Service says the man wearing a wig first robbed the store on 105 Street and 107 Avenue on Oct. 17, 2024. Authorities allege the same man, this time in a clown mask, returned to rob the store with a female suspect on Nov. 11, 2024.

According to police, in both instances, the man asked about cannabis products before demanding cash from the register.

On Wednesday, Edmonton police released security footage of the first robbery. The video shows a man pulling out a shotgun and demanding cash from an employee before walking out with the money.
