A 22-year-old man has been charged with second-degree murder after a man was killed in a central Edmonton Wednesday afternoon.
The Edmonton Police Service says an autopsy Thursday determined 48-year-old’s Sukhjit Randhawa’s death was a homicide.
Police are not revealing the cause of death “for investigative purposes.”

Just before 1 p.m. on Wednesday, officers were called to 112 Avenue and 82 Street about an injured man.
They arrived to find Randhawa suffering from serious injuries. He was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The homicide team took over the investigation.
Nicholas Butler-Chowace, 22, has been charged with second-degree murder. The allegation against him has not been tested in court.
Investigators are not seeking additional suspects.
