Spruce Grove man accused of multiple sex assaults, allegedly dating back to 1984

A 69-year-old man from Spruce Grove has been charged with five counts of sexual assault – with the earliest alleged offence having taken place more than 40 years ago – and police believe there could be more victims.

Parkland RCMP say their investigation began in October following a report of a sexual assault involving a girl. Police have not disclosed her age at the time of the alleged offence.

Investigators then identified five additional victims spanning from 1984 to 2025.

Patrick Fair is scheduled to appear in court next Wednesday. The allegations against him have not been tested in court.

Police believe there could be more victims, and they are releasing a photo of Fair as a result. He is described as five-foot-11, weighing 176 lbs., with a slender build, white hair and glasses.

Spruce Grove is roughly 25 kilometres west of Edmonton.
