Edmonton man charged for allegedly trafficking drugs on back-to-back days

An Edmonton man has been charged with allegedly drug trafficking in Lethbridge and Coalhurst on back-to-back days at the end of 2025.
Lethbridge police say on Dec. 30, 2025, officers reportedly noticed a man driving a blue Honda Accord allegedly engage in an activity consistent with drug trafficking.
Following this, the officers conducted a traffic stop. Police say that as the officers were approaching the vehicle, the driver was seen trying to swallow multiple baggies, which police believe contained cocaine.
The 23-year-old driver was taken into custody, and a search was conducted on the vehicle. Police were able to find and seize over 14 grams of cocaine, 30 unknown pills, and over $700 in cash. The man was later released from custody.
On Dec. 31, officers reportedly noticed the same man driving the same blue Honda Accord. Officers reportedly noticed the man meet with another man who was driving a white Chevrolet Impala in a residential area in Coalhurst. During this time, police reportedly noticed a suspicious transaction take place and took both men into custody as they returned to their vehicles.
Police then conducted a search of both men and their vehicles, and were able to find and seize $7,900 in cash and four ounces of cocaine.
A search warrant was later executed at an Airbnb along Devonia Circle West, and police were able to find and seize around $16,500 in cash.
Since, 23-year-old Gavan Ray Workman from Edmonton has been charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of the proceeds of crime under $5,000, and possession of the proceeds of crime over $5,000.
Additionally, police have charged 19-year-old Connor Normand Quinnof Spruce Grove with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of the proceeds of crime over $5,000.
