Man attacked with axe at trailer park in Edson: RCMP

Police say a man was attacked with an axe at a trailer park west of Edmonton last week.

Edson RCMP say two people were charged in the alleged Dec. 11 attack at the Sunset Trailer Park in Edson.

Mounties say they were called to 56th Street, where they found a 37-year-old man with injuries to his head and hand. He was taken to hospital in Edmonton.

Investigators allege two suspects – a man and a woman – who knew the victim were responsible for the attack. Police say the alleged incident is related to a “previous event” between the individuals.

The accused were arrested at the hotel where they were staying.

Edson residents Katlynne Nehemiah Stiles, 40, and Tina Nicole Robocon, 35, were charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, and assault causing bodily harm.

Both were remanded into custody. They are scheduled to appear in court Thursday.

None of the allegations have been tested in court.
