Edmonton police looking for driver after hit-and-run in October

Edmonton police are looking for the driver and a vehicle connected to a hit-and-run collision in late October.

EPS says around 8 p.m. on Oct. 25, two men — one of whom was using a wheelchair — were crossing 123 Street at the north curb of 127 Avenue.

Reports indicate that a red four-door SUV went to turn from 127 Avenue onto 123 Street when it hit both men. Police say this was later confirmed by CCTV footage.

Following this, the driver reportedly stopped, got out to speak to both men, before returning to his vehicle and fleeing the scene east on 127 Avenue.

Police say as a result of the collision, the man in the wheelchair suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries, as he was knocked from his wheelchair.

EPS has released the video footage they’ve obtained, which can be viewed below.

If anyone has any information, they are asked to contact investigators at 780-423-4567 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
