Edmonton police to run live training exercise at U of A

Edmonton police will carry out a live simulated training exercise on the University of Alberta’s North Campus this Friday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists in the area should expect delays while navigating campus during the exercise. Emergency response personnel, vehicles, and equipment may also be visible outside the scheduled training hours.

Signage will be posted to indicate areas of campus that will be closed to the public, and police are asking people to follow instructions from onsite personnel.

The exercise coincides with the university’s term reading week.
