2 employees charged after 4 children allegedly assaulted at Spruce Grove daycare

Police have charged two women staffers in connection with the assault of four children at the Little Stars daycare in Spruce Grove, just west of Edmonton, earlier this year.
Parkland RCMP told CityNews the victims were between one and three years old.
Authorities say the assaults may have occurred on Feb. 19. They were reported to police between March 6 and 12.
Dimpy Bawa, 32, faces two counts of assault with weapon and two counts of assault. Shivani Shivani, 29, has been charged with two counts of assault.
They are scheduled to appear in court Sept. 17. None of the allegations have been tested in court.
RCMP say both accused were let go from the daycare when the investigation began.
