The RCMP confirmed to CityNews in a statement that they contacted the Edmonton Police Service after a person dropped off what was believed to be pipe bombs, which they reportedly found in an industrial area near 117 Avenue and 170 Street.

The devices were inspected and rendered safe by an explosives technician.

A subsequent search of the area found no additional items of concern.

Additionally, police are reminding everyone that if they see an item that appears to be dangerous or hazardous, do not touch it or pick it up; call 9-1-1 immediately.
