Crash closes Highway 21 overpass southeast of Edmonton, slows traffic on Highway 14

The Highway 21 overpass south of Sherwood Park was shutdown Friday afternoon after it was hit by a truck hauling a grain silo.
According to RCMP, the truck hit the underside of the Highway 21 bridge causing significant damage.
As of 3 p.m. crews were still on scene of the collision and the bridge is closed while assessments are made. Traffic on Highway 14, which passes underneath it, was slowed down.
RCMP did not offer a timeline as to when the bridge will reopen.
