Former Edmonton massage therapist facing additional sexual assault charges

Edmonton police say a former massage therapist is facing two new sexual assault charges in connection to an investigation in December 2024.

EPS says 42-year-old Christian Zeus Cabillan was initially charged back on Dec. 12, after a woman reported an incident at a massage clinic in central Edmonton’s Oliver neighbourhood two days before.

Since the initial report, police say people have come forward, which has led to two new charges of sexual assault.

In December, the Canadian Massage and Manual Osteopathic Therapists Association (CMMOTA) cancelled Cabillan’s Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) licence, meaning he is no longer able to practise as a massage therapist.

Investigators do believe there might be more victims and are encouraging anyone who feels like they might have been targeted by Cabillan to contact police at 780-423-4567 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
