Suspect charged with 2nd-degree murder in fatal stabbing at Whyte Ave apartment complex

A man is facing second-degree murder charges in connection with the death of a man at an apartment complex on Whyte Avenue on Wednesday.
An autopsy Friday determined the victim, 37-year-old Krishnil Mani, died of multiple stab wounds. The manner of death was homicide, according to the medical examiner.
A 34-year-old suspect was taken into police custody Wednesday after officers located the victim’s body at the complex on Whyte and 97 Street shortly after 5 a.m. Homicide detectives charged that same man.
Police say the victim and accused knew each other.
