Pair of Monday night deaths considered suspicious: Edmonton police

The Edmonton Police Service is investigating a pair of suspicious deaths that occurred Monday night in the city’s southwest and in downtown.

The EPS says around 6:30 p.m., officers responded to reports of an injured man near Allard Boulevard SW and Arthurs Crescent SW.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a 21-year-old man dead.

Roughly an hour later, officers responded to a report of a “sudden death” at a home near 92 Street 110A Avenue.

When officers arrived, they found a man dead with what has been described as “suspicious injuries.”

Homicide detectives have taken over both investigations. It is not believed that both deaths are connected.

An autopsy for the 21-year-old has been scheduled for June 14, whereas an autopsy for the man who died downtown has not yet been scheduled.

Anyone with any information about either of these incidents is asked to contact investigators at 780-423-4567 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
