Edmonton police investigating suspicious death in southeast

Edmonton police say they are investigating a suspicious death that occurred in the southeast Friday morning.
EPS say officers responded to reports of gunfire near 26 Street and 19A Avenue just after midnight.
When officers arrived, they found a 28-year-old man in a parked car suffering from serious injuries and began first aid.
Not long later, EMS arrived and took the man to a hospital, where he died from his injuries.
The EPS homicide unit has taken over the investigation and say an autopsy is scheduled for Jan. 3.
