Alberta announces 96 new COVID-19 cases, one additional death

EDMONTON (660 NEWS) – The latest COVID-19 numbers have been released as 96 new cases have been reported in the province.
That brings the total number of infections in Alberta to 6,253 of which 1,747 are active.
The province also announced one additional death with the total number sitting at 117 as of Sunday.

To date, 722 cases have been confirmed at continuing care facilities with 84 residents having died from the virus.
As of Sunday, 71 people are in hospital, 13 of which are in intensive care.
Of the 1,747 active cases, the province said 58 cases are from the Cargill plant near High River, 82 from JBS in Brooks and 17 from Harmony Beef north of Calgary.
On the positive side, over 4,300 people have recovered from the virus.
