Man, 74, found dead in Wîhkwêntôwin following family dispute was homicide victim, autopsy finds

Police say an autopsy has determined a 74-year-old man found dead in central Edmonton on Monday was the victim of a homicide.

The Edmonton Police Service says the victim, identified as Arnie Kik Foon Ng, died of “sharp force injuries.”

Officers found the man’s body at an address near 104 Avenue and 122 Street. They went to that location following the arrest of a 36-year-old man at a condominium complex in west Edmonton earlier that day, around 3:45 p.m.

Authorities were at the Garnett Point condo complex for the report of a family dispute.

Jeremy Wai Keung Ng, the man who was arrested, has been charged with second-degree murder.

Police say the two men knew each other but did not specify if the two men were related.
