RCMP investigating after person loaded into pickup truck after being hit west of Edmonton

Alberta RCMP are looking for information after someone was hit by a pickup truck on Wednesday morning.

Around 8:38 a.m. on May 27, Mounties responded to a report that a man driving a pickup truck had reportedly hit someone, before loading that person into the bed of the truck and driving off.

Several RCMP were called in to assist in a search for the truck. Both the driver and the person who was hit were located, and the driver was eventually taken into custody.

Investigators are turning to the public for information regarding the incident and are asking that if anyone has any video of the area around the Pembina Arena, between 8:20 a.m. and 9 a.m., or dashcam footage of the area between the Pembina Arena and Drayton Valley Hospital, between 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., to contact Evansburg RCMP at 780-727-3654 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
