Motorcyclist in hospital with serious injuries after crash in south Edmonton

A 21-year-old motorcycle rider was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash with an SUV in south Edmonton.
Police say it happened just after 9:00 p.m. on Thursday evening near 91 Street and 25 Avenue SW. Speed and alcohol are not considered factors.

According to police the motorcycle was travelling northbound on 91 street when the SUV, that was travelling southbound, made a left turn in front of the bike to go eastbound onto 25 Avenue SW.

The 21-year-old motorcycle rider was treated and transported to hospital with serious injuries, where he remains in stable condition. The 17-year-old passenger in the SUV was also transported to hospital as a precaution. No other injuries have been reported.
