Dragging it back to Edmonton: Oilers host Game 6 Friday

Friday night in downtown Edmonton will be the epicenter of Oilers fan mania, as the Stanley Cup Final heads back to oil country.

While the team and the city are on edge, those who like the party as much as the game are wondering who is going to entertain them.

Wednesday morning, Oilers fans in Edmonton woke up with new life after the team extended the series once again.

The Oilers are down 3-2 in the series to the Florida Panthers but are on their way home for a Game 6 on Friday, and fans are ready to help out their team.

“At first we thought ‘Oh let’s not get swept.’ But now we got some belief we can go all the way,” said an Oilers fan CityNews spoke to.

With another home game, there’s a chance that another concert will open the festivities on Friday. Oilers fans even took to social media to discuss who they would like to see perform during the pre-game concert.
