Pedestrian taken to hospital following multi-car collision

Edmonton police have reopened the intersection of 109 Street and 111 Avenue after it was closed for several hours due to a two-vehicle collision Thursday.
Police say around 11 a.m., officers responded to a report a collision between a Dodge Journey and a Ford Escape at the intersection.
EPS say during the collision, a pedestrian who was panhandling at the intersection was struck as he stood in the center median.
The man was taken to hospital with the extent of his injuries being unknown at the time. Since EPS has confirmed his injuries appear to be minor.
Police also note neither of the drivers were injured in the collision.
Speed is not believed to be a factor at this time.
