Edmonton police looking for machete used in four stabbings

The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is looking for a machete that is believed to be connected to an attempted murder and four aggravated assaults.
EPS say officers responded to a home in northeast Edmonton around 4 am on Monday.
When officers arrived, they found two women and a man suffering from extensive and life-threatening injuries.
Officers provided medical care before EMS arrived at the scene.
Upon a search of the surrounding area, officers ended up at a second in the area, where it is believed the attacks occurred.
Officers also located another man in a nearby vehicle who was also suffering from a serious stab wound.
Police were able to identify the suspect and were able to take them into custody on Wednesday. The 33-year-old from Prince George, B.C., is facing charges of attempted murder, four counts of aggravated assault, and breaches of conditions and probation.
“While the machete assaults were not random, investigators believe they were unprovoked,” said EPS in a statement.
Police have described the missing weapon as a Kukri-style machete.
