Mounties investigating attempted luring of two children in Fort Saskatchewan

Police in Fort Saskatchewan say they are investigating the attempted luring of two children, aged six and nine, less than a week apart.
Fort Saskatchewan RCMP say both incidents took place in the Southfort neighbourhood near the Ken Hodgkins Park.
Mounties say on the afternoon of July 30, a man driving a red truck tried to lure a nine-year-old boy who was on the walking trail near Davis Street. “The boy made his way to safety unharmed,” police said.
Six days later, on Aug. 5, police say a six-year-old girl was playing at a park along Southpointe Boulevard when a man tried to lure her into his red truck. “The girl returned home and was unharmed,” according to police.
Authorities are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect. Anyone with video around Allard Way, Dittrich Avenue, Davis Street, Durrand Bend or Southpointe Boulevard – on Aug. 5 between 1-2 p.m. — is asked to contact the Fort Saskatchewan RCMP.
