Westbound Highway 16 east of Edmonton reopened following firey multi-vehicle collision

Westbound Highway 16 was closed near Range Road 214 for part of Wednesday afternoon due to a multi-vehicle collision.
In a post to social media, 511 Alberta said emergency crews were at the scene of the collision around 2:20 p.m., which RCMP confirmed to CityNews that the call came in at 2:14 p.m.

Additionally, delays are to be expected along eastbound Highway 16 at Highway 830.
By 4:00 p.m., the collision had been cleared from the highway, and all lanes were reopened.
From images submitted to CityNews, a vehicle could be seen on fire following the collision.

Fire crews, along with RCMP and the CN Police Service, could be seen at the scene of the collision.
At this time, it is believed that a truck attempted to make a turn when it was hit by another vehicle, causing it to engulf in flames.
RCMP also confirmed that there were no major injuries as a result of the collision.
