2 people hospitalized after early morning apartment fire in central Edmonton

Two people were sent to hospital after a fire at an apartment building in the McCauley neighbourhood in central Edmonton on Wednesday.

Firefighters were called to an apartment building near 93 Street and 104 Avenue just before 2 a.m. Crews arrived to find smoke coming from the building. The fire was declared out by 3 a.m.

The Emergency Support Response Team was called in to assist one displaced individual.

EFRS say the cause of the fire is under investigation.
