Edmonton police say a 21-year-old sex offender who was due in court next week has removed his ankle bracelet and may try to flee Canada.
The Edmonton Police Service says it is no longer able to track Prabhjeet Singh, who was being monitored in relation to an incident in May involving a minor.
He was expected in court July 29.
“Singh has ties to India and may be trying to make his way there,” Edmonton police said in a news release Wednesday.
Authorities say Singh’s last known location was a rural area – Range Road 195 – near Sherwood Park on Sunday.
He is described as six-feet tall, weighing 173 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes.
The public is advised not to approach Singh, if spotted. Anyone with information is asked to contact the EPS immediately at 911.
