Police allege suspects in a recent string of break and enters in central Edmonton used glue to determine which apartment building units were left unoccupied for extended periods of time.
The Edmonton Police Service would not reveal to CityNews how many units were targeted by the thieves in the apartment tower on 106 Street near the legislature.
It’s also not exactly clear when the actual thefts happened. But police believe the suspects marked the doorframes of the units with glue on June 29 and July 1 before returning at a later date.
The break-ins were reported July 7, with apartment security and tenants from several units saying their homes had been broken into, and various items had been stolen.
Police are turning to the public for help in identifying the suspects. They are looking for a man who was wearing blue jeans, a blue jacket and a navy blue baseball cap, and another who was wearing black pants, a blue shirt, and a dark baseball cap.

They were spotted in the area of 106 Street and 97 Avenue on July 1 from midnight to 1 a.m., and are believed to have been there on June 29 around 1 a.m.
